My Week In Review

100_0578.jpg

My large box of books arrived on Thursday UPS from the RWA conference.....and this is what my dining room table looks like at the moment!  But I have to admit, it was fun emptying the box and going through everything.  Kinda like my own private book shop.  I've finished reading "A Dangerous Beauty" by Sophia Nash.  I haven't read a Regency Romance in 30 years!  But I have to say.....I truly enjoyed this one.  Loved the characters and the writing was excellent.  If you enjoy Regency Romances, I highly recommend this one and I'm already waiting for February when Nash's sequel will be out.  I also started "Sugar Daddy" by Lisa Kleypas.  I'm half-way through it and enjoying her novel immensely.  It's contemporary romance and another one you should add to your list.  I'll blog about it in the future.  And to all my friends and cousin in New Hampshire....rest assured.  I DO share.  Especially books to people that I know love reading as much as I do.  So you can count on me passing them on to you when I'm finished.

I haven't spent my entire week reading and browsing books.  I actually spent a huge amount of it working on those revisions for Seeking Sydney.  And......I was very pleased when I finished the revisions, reading the hard copy and then making the corrections in the computer by Thursday night!  Now I'll be printing out the manuscript to send it on it's merry little way.....hopefully, right into the heart of an editor.

I may have only been gone 5 days to the conference, but I swear Brie grew while I was away.  She turns 4 months old this coming Friday.  But with that foo foo on top of her head.....poor girl, she looks like every day is a bad hair day.  Think mom needs to make a grooming appointment for her.

Well, I'm off to try and find some space to store all those books.  Oh, and if you have figured out a way to add more hours to your day.....send your results on to me, please.

I apologize for not getting around to visit your blog, but I'm hoping before the weekend is over, I'll do just that.

See you here next time.......

Oh wow Terri, looks like Christmas in July with that goodie box of books :-) I wouldn't know which one or 3 to start first! (I normally have 2 or more books I'm reading at one time lately). I really enjoyed Julie & Romeo! Have FUN!

Brie is adorable. That is quite the stack of books to read. I bought my copy of the 7th Harry Potter on Saturday at Costco and plan to read it this week. I got hooked on them through my daughter who is a major fan. For me, it took a couple to get into them, but I have only admiration for an author who can create such a complex world and inspire so many to care enough to wait in lines to get the first copy. An amazing phenomena. I plan to start my copy on Monday when I have time to dedicate to it as I have read in the reviews that it's a hard book to put down

Wondering if there were any men represented at the Romance Writers of America. My wife is a huge fan of romance novels, though she likes a bit of mystery as well. She's read Nora Roberts.

Hi Terri......no reason to get bored now is there? I'm glad the conference went well and wish you all sorts of luck with your manuscript. I am not a lover of Romance Novels but I know that there is a big audience out there for them.
