Where'd July Go?
Is it just me or are the months going by so fast you can barely keep up with them? I know I've been busy, but gee whiz......according to my calendar, it's August on Monday!
So what have I been up to? Well, lets see..........The ARCS (advanced reading copies) for SUNRISE ON CEDAR KEY have been sent to me from Kensington. So I've been busy sending those out for reviews. I only have a few left, but if you're a reviewer and have a venue where you post reviews for the reading public and would like to review book 3, send me an email and I'll get a copy out to you.
I've been busy working on book 4, which will be released in 2012, and I'm pleased to say that I have over 20,000 words completed. I'm happy with my story and characters and this will continue to keep me busy over the next months.
If you're signed up on my author website to receive my monthly Newsletters, then you will receive one on Monday and know that a winner has been chosen for the July contest. I'm going to annouce the August contest this week, so you might want to pay a visit to the Contest page at my author website in order to enter. I'm also going to be running a contest on Fresh Fiction, so stop by my author page there for a chance to win some Bath & Body products that will help to keep you cool on these hot summer days.
I want to send out a nice thank you to the Columbia County Library for inviting me to speak and do a book signing there a few weeks ago. It was fun meeting all of you that attended and I deeply appreciate your support.
With my new release coming out in October, this is always a busy time of year for me. Working on marketing, promoting and still keeping up with Facebook, answering fan emails, etc. So the month of August will find me right here on Cedar Key doing just that, in addition to actually WRITING.
But those of you that know me know that I'm a firm believer in also taking time for ME. So I've been knitting away, reading like crazy, socializing with friends and trying to balance work with play!
We've also been busy doing some make-overs here at our home. The first project is doing over our front yard area. We hired somebody to get rid of the old fence and trees and bushes and here's what's been done.........

It looks pretty barren out there right now, but just wait! When the new fence and landscaping is all finished, I'll share it with you.
I've also been on a baking frenzy, much to Ray's delight! And due to many requests from my fans, some of those recipes are now on my author website, with more to come, as time permits.
I do try to fulfill my fans requests and one that I get frequently is: Write FASTER! Believe me, I'm quite flattered that you're looking for more of my work to read, however, my contract with Kensington is one book per year. However.....as some of you might already know, I decided to take my two out of print women's fiction novels, Lost Souls of the Witches Castle and Daughters of the Mill and put them onto Kindle and Nook as eBooks. I've given you the link here in case you'd like to read them.
And just this week I've also put two of my short stories, Phantom Visit and Solitude on Kindle. They'll be on Nook soon, so I'm hoping these additions will help to tide you over until SUNRISE ON CEDAR KEY hits the bookshelves late October!
I do hope all is well in your corner of the world and I'm wishing you cooler days to relax and enjoy summer. See you here next time.....................

By the way, my Orchids are still STUNNING! Still in Full Bloom--They are simply Gorgeous, my dear Terri. And every time I look at them---which is many times a day---I think of you and Thank You with all my heart....
