Brunch With The Book Club ~
One thing that I discovered about these Quincy women was that they're very similar to Cedar Key women when it comes to cooking and baking...........Social gatherings do not include store-bought items. Oh, no! They all pitch in to bring something that came from their stoves or ovens and what a delicious result it was! Here's Candace in the left foreground, with Mary behind her, and all the goodies on the kitchen island...............complete with yummy Mimosa's.

AND.......get a load of this home made bread from Candace! And oh, yeah! It was EVERY bit delicious as it looks here! So much so, that I HAD to order the cookbook and cast iron pan that it's baked in. It's a no-knead bread and the cookbook has many various recipes. So I have my yeast and everything needed.......and this weekend will find me baking away!

The women invited to this event were members of the Coffee Cup Book Club in Quincy. I had done a Skype interview with them a year ago April, but it was ever so much fun to actually get to meet them in person.

And what did we talk about? Mostly about Cedar Key, my novels and anything and everything. They had some great questions for me about my setting and characters and of course, I gave them a little "sneek peek" into SUNRISE ON CEDAR KEY, which will be released October 25 and also I shared a little about book 4, due out in 2012.

So a huge thank you to Candace for opening her home to us and to all the others who helped to provide a very enjoyable and delicious brunch. What a fun time it was!
And if you join me here tomorrow, I'll continue to share the rest of the day and evening with you. See you then............
