How Does Your Garden Grow?
Well.......about the cover for the Christmas anthology.......I tried. I really did. I haven't received it yet from Kensington. I kinda grabbed it off the catalog that they send out to booksellers. And tech-challenged person that I am, I'm not able to get the resolution right. Sorry about that. But I'll have it here for you as soon as I get a proper photo.
However........I do have some photos to share with you that I took in my garden the other day. I'm really amazed at what survived our unusually cold winter. Some of the plants I did take inside, but others I didn't. You're going to see that I have a love affair going with hostas..........I just adore them!

I think I'm captivated by their very vivid green! They just look SO alive and vibrant and when I look at them, I smile. The one above is a real survivor. It didn't get taken inside and look at it.

This one I just planted last fall and is called the Dancing in the Rain hosta..........it did get taken into my writers studio during most of the cold weather. But it looked pretty sick when I put it back outside late March. Look at it now! Amazing what a little bit of fertilizer, sunshine, warm weather and LOVE, of course, will do.
As you can see, I do a lot of container gardening. But last fall I did do a new area for plants and flowers in the ground. Even with a hard freeze.............look at how well these hostas are doing.

And I'm so proud of my Bella Lugosi day lilly.........some of you might remember it from last year. It also looked pretty sick this past winter because I didn't take it inside. And look at those blooms, will ya......they'll produce the most gorgeous almost black in color day lilies.

And last fall, I also planted some day lily's in the ground. I was so excited to see the first flowers on them last week. And if Duncan would stop peeing on the other's, gee, maybe I'd get some flowers on those too. Naughty boy.

And this is my Guardian Angel hosta.........now trust me, this baby was dead, dead, dead in March, after such a cold winter. Well, at least I thought it was..........obviously, it knew differently. Hmm, maybe that's why it's called the guardian angel hosta......somebody was watching over it! Because look at it now!

So I'm quite proud of all that I've grown. How about you? Do you enjoy gardening and if so, what kind of plants or flowers are in your yard this spring?
See you here next time..................
