Hi Ho . . . Hi Ho

. . . . . . . It's off to work I go.

Yes........I know I said my next blog post would be about the theater production of To Kill A Mockingbird that I attended in Monroeville.

However..........duty calls!

The package you see above arrived via Fed Ex from my publisher late yesterday afternoon and YES, it's my manuscript of SPINNING FORWARD from my copy editor.  And yes, I'm excited!

This will be my final proofing of my work before it goes to the typesetter.  There's flagged notes indicating suggestions for word changes (which is up to me)  All of the punctuation or grammar changes, I'm not allowed to tamper with.

All of it looks pretty benign.  And some of you might recall that when my editor accepted my manuscript, she said it required no revisions.  There was one minor area where I had to explain something a bit better with a few added sentences.

My manuscript has to be back to Kensington by a week from today, May 15.  So guess what Terri will be doing all weekend?  Going through each and every page doing a line edit to make sure all is as it should be before my "baby's" next stop with the typesetter.

So I will see you next week when my job is complete.....................

Sounds like a good weekend, taking care of 'baby'. I'm excited for you! Also this means one step closer 'baby' gets to us. So I'm excited for me & all of us also :-)

I was a typesetter at one job years ago. I'm sure the process has changed a lot since then.

How very very exciting, my dear...! I know this will be a labor of love, though somewhat tedious, knowing it is your 'final, final' or as we say in the Theatre...'Your Final Farewell' LOL!
Much Good Luck with it, dear Terri.
Can't wait to see the cover!

Following you during this process has been so interesting. Being a reader (necessary person, right? lol) and not a writer, I had no idea of the steps involved from story idea to actual "book in hand". It's going to make it even more special when I actually get to read your book!
