THEE Cover !

Those of you signed up to receive my Newsletter already got a preview of my book cover this past week.
But now it's time to share it with the rest of you.
Isn't it gorgeous? Professional? Classy? I think it's all of that and more! Needless to say, I'm extremely pleased with the amazing Art Department at Kensington. And I couldn't be happier with the cover blurb from author, Karin Gillespie.
And for those of you that are knitters, looking at that beautiful skein of yarn.....doesn't it just make you want to grab your needles, cast on some stitches and sit and relax for awhile?
I realized that finally seeing one's book cover is like the birth of one's first child. For months you wonder what will he/she look like? Will I feel connected to this new life? What will friends and loved ones feel and think? Will they think the new "arrival" is as gorgeous as I do?
So if I'm gushing here, it's because the moment I saw my book cover.....it was definitely love at first sight.

I've been super busy these past few weeks. So much to do and so much to think about. I've been working on getting all my ducks in a row for the October 27 release of SPINNING FORWARD. Lots of emails and phone calls back and forth between my editor and my publicist.
And I've been giving lots of thought to that Christmas novella I'm now contracted to write. The setting will be Cedar Key and I'll be tying it in with my first two novels. But I've decided to create two new characters for my story. So I've been doing a lot of thinking, getting to know my characters, fleshing them out, trying to find out who, exactly, they are. I pretty much have the plot in my head.....and of course, as required, it will be Christmas related.
In-between all this thinking, I've also been reading and knitting. I just finished a very enjoyable book last night and will tell you about it soon. And of course, I began reading another one immediately. You probably see Duma Key, Stephen King's novel, on my sidebar......I AM still reading that one, but at over 600 pages it's taking awhile to get through it. I'm almost to the end and anxious to find out WHAT exactly is going on. The story gets pretty intense in parts, hence the reason why I'm reading a couple other books at the same time.
I'm just about finished with that pretty green lace scarf I've been working on and I've also returned to working on the dusty rose cashmere scarf.
So lots of things certainly occupy my time throughout each day and I'm enjoying all of it. Just the way it should be. Enjoying the moments and enjoying life! And I'm hoping that you're doing the same.
See you here next time.....................
