Book Tour ~ South Florida
I was very pleased to be hosted by the lovely Louise Webb, owner of The Knitting Place, in Venice, Florida. On Wednesday, December 2, I joined the knitting group at the shop to knit, chat and sign books. I met so many great women and enjoyed talking with all of them. Louise did a super job of "getting the word out" for my events and my publicist sent a wonderful poster for Louise to display in the front window of the yarn shop.

I've been so busy lately that I've had a hard time keeping up with everything. One of which was getting my nails done..........but not to worry. Nail shops are everywhere and I found a very nice one near Venice in Nokomis, called Polished. (link to their site is highlighted) It was one of those shops where from the moment you walked in, you felt like you'd been going there for ages. Owned by Sue, she has a wonderful and friendly staff that also does hair and beauty treatments. I was booked with Angela and really enjoyed chatting and getting to know her. Both the staff and customers seemed quite enthused to have an author in the shop and wanted to know all about my book. I apologize for the lack of a photo...........unfortunately, when Sue got the picture, I didn't realize the setting was on video and I'm unable to upload it.
On Thursday I was back at the yarn shop during the Christmas Walk that Venice was doing. Louise had me set up by the door and again, I signed quite a few books and met some great women.

And here I am with Louise........

I want to give a huge thank you to all of you that came in to visit and purchase my book. I certainly appreciate your support! And to those of you that have emailed me.....I promise to get back to you. I'm slowly but surely catching up.
In addition to these events, I also did a good amount of drive-by signings, where I'd pop by, meet the CRM and sign stock of my book. I'm still overwhelmed by the fact that not only did each and every B&N carry my book.........most still had Spinning Forward on a front table for either New Fiction or Noteworthy Fiction. Again....a huge thanks to Barnes & Noble and all of the CRM's, many of whom said they plan to keep it there through the holidays! I'm extremely grateful!

And now.......the only event I have left for this year is the public book signing I'll be doing right here on my Cedar Key. Edie at Kona Joe's will be hosting my signing there on Dec. 19 from 2:00 till 5:00. If you're in the area, I'd love for you to drop by to meet me and say hello.
And after visiting The Knitting Place.....you didn't really think I walked out of there without purchasing yarn, did you? Course not! I actually walked out with a shopping bag filled with yummy yarn and project ideas swirling in my head. So join me here next time and I'll share that yarn with you in photos.
See you then..............
