Old Friends & Fun Times

I was really happy that Alice and Val were here with me for a few days before my book launch and also for a few days following the event.  It gave us time to talk, catch up, knit and laugh.

One of the days we went downtown so they could browse in the various gift shops and art galleries.  The weather was delightful.....perfect for walking around with the sun and cooler temps.

And of course......no day would be complete without a visit to my favorite place, Kona Joe's Coffee Shop.

Saturday evening following my book launch, Ray and I did dinner back here at our house again for twelve.  It was a nice, relaxing time to be able to just sit around and chat.  Since it was a little chilly, we had the fire pit going which was perfect and allowed us to stay out on the lanai.

On Sunday morning, all of us met at Kona Joe's again for breakfast before my publicist and I set off to do a photo shoot of me around the island that lasted well over an hour.  She's now busily using these photos to revamp my website and put together a press kit for me.

We were able to get a nice shot of Shawn, me, Veronique and Brian at Kona Joe's.

And if all of this wasn't enough excitement for a week.......on Tuesday, following the launch, Ray and I hit the road to begin my first book tour through Georgia and Alabama.  So join me here next time and I'll share all of it with you...........

See you then..........
