Welcome 2009 ~

Here we are at the first day of a whole new year. Anybody still make those New Year resolutions? I don't. I like having reached a point in my life where anything that I'm still doing I must enjoy quite a lot, so there's no sense in giving it up.
My philosophy has always been enjoy the moments and take everything a day at a time. Doing that has always made my life more balanced.
In view of so many bad things that happened in 2008, I almost feel guilty saying it was an excellent year for me. Two things occurred that one year ago today I wasn't so sure would ever happen. Me getting a two-book contract from a large New York publisher. And Obama winning the election as our incoming President. And yet.........both of these happened for me. Which only proved to me once again, always have hope. Hope is what gets us through those trying and difficult times.
And my hope for you at the beginning of this new year is twelve months ahead that will bring you joy, fulfillment and maybe even a dream or two coming true.
My new Newsletter, Tidbits From Terri, is scheduled to be delivered this weekend. So if you haven't signed up yet to receive it, you can do so right here on Island Writer. Just click the logo to the right on my sidebar and you'll be all set.
As for me, I've "played" long enough the past week or so. Therefore, no more dawdling. It's time for me to get back to finishing up the first draft of my book #2. And that's what I'll be busy doing until it's completed.
So I'm wishing you a very Happy New Year and I'll see you here next time............
