Works In Progress

You might remember a few months ago I showed you the pattern for the dusty rose cashmere scarf I'm making for myself and also the gray sweater jacket. Here's where I've gotten so far. What with being chairperson for that writing contest and then getting ready for our trip, I haven't had a whole lot of time for knitting. But I still try to squeeze in as much as possible.
The cream colored piece will be a scarf for my daughter. It's cashmere and silk and I think she'll like it. Especially this winter in the Boston area.
So these are the projects I'll be taking with me to France. I'll be knitting on the flight over and then a week from today we'll be on the TGV for a 4 hour train ride from Paris to Montpellier in the south of France. So this will keep me busy.
See you here next time............
FYI: A few of you have questioned about knitting needles on a flight and indicated that possibly they're not allowed. They ARE most definitely allowed. I took them on my flight to Paris last March and again this past October. Should you still have doubts, go to the Homeland Security website. Both knitting needles and crochet needles ARE allowed as a carry-on. Actually, SO are scissors now.......as long as they're either plastic or blunt edge.
