Hell Hath No Fury . . .

. . . LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED
Based on the events of the past few days, I've been giving a lot of thought to this saying in relation to Mother Nature. Those of you that know me know I'm not a religious person, but I am exceptionally spiritual. I believe in the Universe and the power of that Universe. I am a firm believer that what we put "out" there comes back to us.....both good and bad. I believe in "paying it forward" in our daily life, because what affects one of us ultimately affects all of us. And due to the past eight years of our government, I think Mother Nature is pissed.
This week the media should have been focusing on the Republican Convention. All the hoopla should have been directed toward St. Paul. And what happened? Gustav decided to make an appearance on the day that convention was to begin. Not only was media attention diverted from the Convention, speeches were canceled and the impact I'm sure the Republican party hoped for deflated like a balloon. Call me silly.......but I can't help but feel this event was scripted by a force beyond anything political. By a force that has been scorned these past eight years.
This Administration backs big oil, which has exploited Mother Nature's assets. By polluting her air, fouling her waters (Prudhoe Bay) and turning her bounty into greed. They exploited her corn to make ethanol, which has caused food shortages in the world. Even though ethanol is not the solution we need. I think Mother Nature is saddened by events around the world.....the polluted air in Beijing, the farmers in Brazil that are destroying the Rain Forests (which provides oxygen to the world) to plant more sugarcane to produce more ethanol. And I think she's very disappointed that America, the greatest country in the world, has done nothing these past eight years to fix the problems and do our part to preserve what we've been given.
I have no doubt that the Republican party thought they had pushed Katrina under the carpet. The criminal and unforgiving way this Administration treated its people was brought back full-force to the eyes and ears of America as Gustav made it's way toward New Orleans. The lack of caring and compassion and intelligence by our top leaders once again came across our TV screens yesterday. Almost as if Mother Nature was saying, "Least you should forget."
I've always felt that the female spirit is an indomitable and powerful force. A force that can accomplish great feats in our world. But that female spirit must be aware and prepared to turn things around for the good of our country and the Universe. It's that female spirit that took her fury, starting with gaining the right to vote 88 years ago, and went forward to make great things happen for all of us.
Perhaps this time Mother Nature's fury said, "ENOUGH."
See you here next time.................

No, women can not have it all, not at the same time anyways. After hearing that this Palin KNEW her 17 yr old daughter was pregnant, has 5 kids, one of which has down syndrome, is VERY selfish in my opinion. What a MOTHER she is for sure!
Family values, mmmm let me seee... To me, family values mean you take care of your family FIRST, Once they are taken care of, THEN you take care of YOUR DREAMS! If she wanted to be VP, she shoudn't have had 5 kids!
This woman is the same age as me. BUT I find thats my generation's mantra. "ME ME ME".
Disgusting! If she had any class, she woiuld back out.Its obvious her kids need her more right now than this country!
