The Liar's Diary

You might recall a few months ago a lot of us bloggers were supporting this author when her novel was released in paperback. Unfortunately, at the time, Patry Francis had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment and wasn't able to promote her book herself. I bought this back then and finally read it about a month ago. I've read more since then and when time permits, I'll blog about them.
I just loved this book! It was a psychological thriller and normally I don't read a lot of these. I don't like violence or blood and gore in my pleasure reading. I'm not a wuss, but....... This one wasn't like that and wasn't scary. It was just a very good story.
A new woman, Ali Mather, arrives in town and is the new music teacher. Stunning, with a magnetic personality, she draws a lot of attention. Jeanne has been living a contented life and ends up developing a deep friendship with Ali based on their mutual vulnerabilities and long-held secrets. Ali has been recording a diary and it holds the key to something darker.
I have to tell you..........three times I thought I had this story figured out. (As an author myself, many times this happens) And three times.........I was totally wrong! Just when I thought I knew where the plot was going, wham......another twist. Which added even more to the great writing and very interesting plot. The characters were believable with life's problems hitting them in the face.
So if you're looking for a great page turner, I can highly recommend this one. Filled with lots of surprises, it's a great psychological murder mystery.
See you here next time..................

Hea, I heard Cedar Key mentioned on the NBC Nightly News this evening. Wasn't a good thing though. They were saying that tropical storm is headed directly your way.
I am going to Amazon it...! (lol)
