Just Because . . .

100_0927.jpg

Aren't these just gorgeous?  My friend Ingaborg's husband gave me these earlier in the week.......just because.  He picked them from his garden and gave some to me and another woman.  I put them in a crystal bowl with water and have them right here on my desk.  The color is so vibrant.  And so....I thought I'd share them here with you.....just because.

It's been another busy week here.  I got some writing done on my current manuscript.  And on Thursday and Friday I took the pen and ink class at the Arts Center.  It was great and I enjoyed it a lot.  Besides which, I found out that I actually CAN draw a straight line.  I surprised myself with what I'm capable of doing with pen and ink and I'll share it here with you next time.

Yesterday we had a mobile doggie groomer come to our house to do Duncan and Brie.  She comes right into my driveway with her van and I'm so pleased.  I'll tell you about that soon.

And today.....well, we're off to a flea market that the Women's Club is having at their clubhouse out on SR24.

See you here next time..........

Beautiful! Funny I was going to post a photo of some flowers given to me as well this week (for helping her with some work) and they brightened up my desk as well.

Have a good weekend.

Very nice. I always like "just because" surprises they mean so much. I saw the ad in the local paper about the mobile dog groomer, I'm curious how it turned out. Did you take pictures of Brie & Duncan after? The groomer I use in Port Orange has a mobile unit also. But Beans actually likes going in to see them at the building. They are very good with her and it is a nice open, bright, clean place. Anxious to see your pen & ink work! Hope the Womens Club does well on the flea market, wish I was there but not this weekend! All my 'kids' are home for the weekend, I'm so happy :-)

Hey Terri...You have such a lovely full life there in Cedar Key....! And those flowers are gorgeous!

Didn't you just love when I panned the camera up to Sweetie and said his name, his tail moved....LOL! They are such special creatures!

I need a Cat Groomer to come here and tranquilize my dear Sweetie, and shave him...He has so many matts all over his fur....This is what seems to happen in the Winter, every year....But it does seem to be getting worse each year. He will NOT let me comb him....He hates it! So....
But I am afraid the whole thing would traumatize him so terribly that we just live with these big clumps. It cannot be good for him....A dilemma.

Happy to hear you have been working on your manuscript, my dear....I look forward to hearing more about it as time goes on, if you feel you can share it with us.

Hope the coming week will be another productive one for you, my dear.

Camellias are one of my favorite flowers. My mother's garden there in north-central Florida is full of huge bushes of them, but since she's gone now, a renting family gets to enjoy the the different varies of camellias she planted over the years. Too bad I've never lived in an area of country where I could grow them, but I'm glad you enjoy them too.
