Darien, Georgia

Darien is a small, coastal fishing community off Hwy 17.  There wasn't much commerce there....Skipper's Fish Shack, a few shops and the residential area.  But I liked it.  It was quiet and I especially liked the waterfront area along the Darien River.

They also had the tabby ruins, made from shells..............

And I liked the tranquil look of the boats, some of which were shrimp boats, and people leisurely fishing on the river.........

Duncan and Brie enjoyed walking the riverfront area too..........

Today we're driving home and it was a good week, but I'll be happy to return to MY little island and slice of paradise.

The place I liked the best during this past week I've saved showing you for last.  So join me here next time and I'll tell you all about it, complete with photos.

See you then............................

I like going through Georgia, especially along the river. Savannah is my favorite. It has been so many years since I've been up there. Hope to go again some day. Looks like you had a very nice visit but you are ready to be home!

I love how happy Brie looks in that picture with you on the pier. Her little face is just beaming! She must always be in a good mood.
