. . . OF OUR NEW YEAR 2008, I'm looking ahead to . . .

  • Bright blue skies and sunshine-filled days

  • Improving my French by spending one hour each day with my Rosetta Stone CD

  • Walking with the dogs at least five times a week

  • Finding a publisher or agent who's enthusiastic about my award-winning manuscript, SEEKING SYDNEY

  • Finishing up the first draft of my current manuscript, Betrayal Encore

  • Reading some classics I've missed over the years, like To Kill A Mockingbird

  • Simplify my life even more, in ways that work for me

  • Developing more meaningful friendships

  • Weeding out what's important and what isn't

  • Improving my knitting skills and continuing to knit at least one hour each day on current projects

  • I'm looking ahead to our election in November and hoping the outcome will bring a good change for our country

  • To returning to my beloved Paris in May

  • Discovering some new blogs that are witty, interesting and enjoyable

  • But most of all, I'm looking ahead to wonderful moments that will all add up to great memories when 2008 comes to an end.

What are you looking ahead to in the coming year?

See you here next time..........

WOW! You are looking forward to a lot, my dear, and it all sounds terrific! I hope ALL of it happens for you dear Terri....!

I think the thing I am looking forward to---if I can say that about what I'm going to say----is maintaining my health at the level it is right now if not making it better.....! And I guess, anything that comes my way of a positive creative nature....!

Sounds like a great list. Hopefully I will start deciding what I want from '08 this week if I ever get things settled down here enough to take some quiet time for contemplation.

What wonderful goals!! I've been writing down goals at New Year for about ten years. I have a journal that I keep them in and can look back on years past and relish what I have accomplished. I love being able to check off each goal as it is completed. Writing them down seems to make them more attainable.
Meeting you and having you for a friend has been a gift. I look forward to 2008 with you.

"Looking ahead" is less proscriptive and more fun than "resolutions." I like it. Looking ahead to tracking my goals online (google Joe's Goals) to do more writing and marketing.

those are good ambitions! I like the idea of not making promises but memories for the year to come!

2008? I'm not making resolutions, I'm making promises....to myself. Maybe it's a very fine line of distinction and only in my mind. I'm promising myself to come back to Cedar Key, for starters!
