Infiniti M35

100_0968.jpg

For those of you that guessed "a new car" the other day on my blog....as you can see, you were right!  We purchased the '07 Infiniti M35 yesterday and yes....I'm one happy female!  We'd been thinking of getting a new one and as a previous Infiniti owner, it was my first choice.  We'd bought our other one brand new in 1996...The I-30.  I'd shopped around looking at Lexus, Mercedes and BMW.  The Infiniti dealer was my last stop that day and the moment I saw it and then I test drove it.....I knew it had my name on it.  And I've never been sorry since.  So my feeling is....if you're happy with a make or product, stick with it and that's what I did. The exterior color is called Diamond Graphite and the interior is Graphite Leather with the rosewood.

The only problem was the only Infiniti dealer in the area is in Clearwater at Lokey Motor, where we purchased the first one.....87 miles from here.  But it was worth it and we made the trek down yesterday.  And here I am looking mighty happy.

She's a real beauty and I can't wait to sit in my driveway tomorrow and try to learn everything it will do.  The Dealer Coordinator went over it all with me.....but my mind was mush at that point and I said "just show me how to turn on the radio and play some CD's for the drive home."  It has keyless ignition....who would have ever thought that some day all we'd have to do is push a button to start a car?  It has what looks like a mini computer screen on the dash that tells me the status of everything.  Climate control seats, the Bose stereo system like my other one, lights that tilt when I turn corners, Bluetooth for my cell phone.....the girl programmed my phone and I just push a button on the dash or steering wheel and voice activate who to call and then talk on the speaker phone. (A VERY good safety feature, I think, when driving.  No need to even reach for my cell phone)  It does and has a million other things and I'm overwhelmed.  So I intend to spend much of today in my driveway getting acquainted with her.

They had it all ready for me when we got there (but still spent 2 hours learning all the features) and I literally drove it off the showroom floor, through the glass doors (not literally...they opened them for me) and we did the 2 hour drive back to Cedar Key.  And lemme tell ya....what a sweet drive it was.  I about died when I glanced at the speedometer on the Veteran's Parkway and saw I was doing 90!  Shhhhhh!  I didn't get bagged and brought her down to 80.  I must say, that girl has got some speed.

I wasn't the only one happy yesterday.....we gave the other Infiniti to our son, Brian and he was thrilled.  He came with us and he drove that one away with a big smile on his face.  But I'm still not sure who was smiling more....me or him.

That is so neat Terri! She looks beautiful and Soooo classy! Does she have a name yet? I have been hooked on Pontiac Grand Am since I was in my 20s, but when I was a teen it was Camaro! I would still like to find a 1969 yellow Camero in mint condition!

Michele sent me to see you, Terri.

Wow! I wish my parents were that generous. Even though it's got a few years on it, that I30 will make a great car for your son.

I had a G20 for 6 years a while back and I loved it. Admittedly it's only a cleaned up Sentra but it still had that Infiniti feel to it. Nothing like the 30 cars though. They're so much classier.Congratulations on your new car, Terri. It looks great and I'm sure it's wonderful to drive.

I'm not much into cars, but into computers. So you sound like me when I just unpacked a new computer ;)
Congratulations! Enjoy!

My, my, my. Here's the car I drove to work today. It's a mini-van with 173,000 miles on it. The windshield is cracked, the horn doesn't work and neither does the cruise control. The right rear tire has a slow leak so I have to pump air into it about once a week. The radio is just a radio--no CD or tape player.

Now we have a better car, but you know what--I just love driving this old clunker. Since as long as it runs I won't have to get another one, it's like I'm making money every time I drive it.

Your car sounds great, though. Some day I'll get modern and high tech with my vehicles.

Wowsers! Congrats Terri! The thing sounds like mission control with all those gadgets. Give me a CD player and air conditioning and I'm happy. Bet Brian was thrilled to get your old car, it was still in such great condition. Again, congrats!

That is one gprgeous baby, Terri! And all the fantastic things it can do...I hope when you learn all the others you will share them with us....I still drive my 1989 Buick Park Avenue...a most incrddubly comfortable car and still in very good shape considering it's age...of course it has barely been driven these last two years...!(lol)
CONGRATULATIONS, my dear! What a wonderful Christmas present to give yourselves! Bravo for you!

Congratulations, Terri, and ENJOY. I'm afraid I'm more like Big Dave. I have a '96 Acura with 137,000 miles on it but still seems to have lots of get-up-and-go. I tend to get over-whelmed when I'm in one of the new models...but maybe I'll grow up one day.

Wow! That's beautiful. I haven't driven a regular car in years. We have a passenger van, so I always feel like I'm driving a tank. When the kids leave, I want one of these!!

Michele sent me.

I have..or had a 1998...the Infinity I30 with leather seats and a fantastic Bose stereo system and I loved that car!! My daughter is driving it now. But I can see why you would want another Infinity and the M35 is sweet!

In response to your question about the pudding in the cake....I copied the recipe exactly as she gave it to me, so I don't know what size box or flavor she used.

I'm assuming it called for the smaller box of vanilla pudding. I'm still waiting to hear back from the lady who made the cake the first time. You could go ahead and try it with that and see if that works. Leanne, at Intricate Art said she went ahead and made it and it came out great.

I'll email you as soon as I find out for sure.
