Goddess Oracle Cards

QuanYin 007.jpg

I mentioned these cards the other day and I'm using them each morning to meditate and get focused for my day.  Many of you may be familiar with Doreen Virtue.  You can visit her site here.  I read quite a few of her books over the years.  She's a clairvoyant doctor of psychology who works with the angelic, elemental and ascended master realms.  Doreen has appeared on Oprah, The View, Good Morning America, CNN and other programs, so perhaps you've seen her.

The cards will help you give accurate readings for yourself and others.  Oracle cards are ancient, time-tested divination tools that allow you to see into the future and they're based on the Law of Magnetic Attraction.

So I read through the booklet that came with the cards and decided to give it a shot.....After following the instructions to clear them of any previous energy, I was to shuffle and remove three after thinking of a question.  My question was "How can I find the right words to complete my synopsis?"  Okay.....there are 44 cards in the deck and I removed the three that felt right to me.  I was to flip them over and place the first one face up on my left, the next one in the middle and the last one on my right.....the card to your left speaks about your immediate past with respect to the question's topic.  The middle card addresses your current situation and the right-hand card gives you insight into the future outcome.  Here's the cards I randomly chose....

Left card (past)....Athena-Inner Wisdom and the card says, "You know what to do.  Trust your inner wisdom, and take appropriate action without delay."  And the booklet says.....Athena helps with creative projects such as writing, arts and crafts.

Middle card (current)....Abundantia and the card says, "The universe is pouring its abundance out to you.  Be open to receiving."  The booklet says.....She bestows all kinds of prosperity, including increased amounts of time, ideas, and other forms of support.

Right card (future).....Lakshmi and the card says, "Stop worrying.  Everything is going to be fine."  The booklet says......She's happy to bring supply to you, whether that means money, time, knowledge or opportunity.

Following the focusing and doing the cards, I easily wrote a three page synopsis for my current manuscript.  A bunch of hooey?  What's your feelings on this?  As for me.....Out of all the 44 cards I could have randomly chosen, I find it more than coincidence that those were the three I selected.  See you tomorrow.........

I believe in it as a method for your inner self communicating with you. I started using Tarot cards about 7 years ago and have found them helpful, mostly they reaffirm what my subconscious already knows but it's just neat how they work with that to give some visual proof. I often do 3 card readings just because it's simple but with tarot, you can choose many kinds of readings for when you need something more in depth. Sometimes a simple one card for a day is helpful. I don't do them every day but when I am facing a time I need extra help. I was told to buy a deck where the pictures speak to you and I have found the simple, Rider-Waite deck works best for me, but I have bought several others over the years. You can even do the readings with a plain deck of cards and there are books explaining how. I think it's a good subconscious tool for those of us who aren't totally sure always what our inner self is saying or even when we were right but want affirmation.

I think they (Tarot cards) are excellent to help you focus on your thoughts and feelings, but I don't know about these and this Doreen.
