Chateau Morrisette & Area

On Tuesday we set off for the winery, Chateau Morrisette.  It was a gorgeous drive to get there as these photos will prove......

I really enjoyed browsing through the winery.....Brought home 3 bottles of wine, one of which is called The Black Dog.  The owners have a black Lab mascot, named Lucky and Holly and Duncan enjoyed meeting him as we walked around the grounds.  In addition to wine, they sell some doggie items so Holly and Duncan each got a new chew bone.  And I couldn't resist the cocktail napkins that said, "Life is too short to drink cheap wine".....my sentiments exactly!  And what did Ray and the pooches do while mom shopped?  You'll see below.....

And after all that browsing, I needed to sit a bit as well.

Join me tomorrow when I'll tell you all about the Green Garage.....a place only the locals know about, but Terri managed to find it......See you then.

I will have to get me some of those napkins! I like their Angel Chardonnay and Our Dog Blue.

The farm house on Rt 8 you photographed, I love that place too. Everytime I pass I just look at it and smile. It seems so old school, so rural, so beautiful!

You guys look great!

Darn. Wanted to browse the local wine myself there in North Carolina but ran out of time. I heard they had a locally made cooking wine that would have made a neat Xmas present for my brother-in-law who's a chef of sorts.

I like that saying, "life is to short to drink cheap wine."

Reminds me of the saying, "life is to short to be little."

Enjoy the rest of your trip!!
